KISS Coffeehouse

What a perfect combo. The most capitalistic American band of the past quarter century, joined with the most popular American beverage that can be made in a coffeemaker.
KISS, unlike many rock acts of its time, never claimed "artistic integrity." No, KISS sold out almost from the beginning. The corporate raiders wasted no time turning the beloved theatrical unit into action figures and lunchbox billboards. Still, this little business venture had me wondering how far things have come — or how far they haven't. Bottom line, this is a fitting collaboration, and maybe it's just the perfect commercial caffeine for both rock 'n' roll and the coffeehouse industry. Just as KISS wasn't any fun after they dropped the makeup, espresso was never as cool after Starbucks opened up shop in the middle of Kiddieland at McDonald's
As a former KISS fanatic, and as a consumer of between five and 43 cups of coffee each day, I think this is grounds for celebration. In addition, it presents a strange geographical and historical twist. KISS Coffeehouse (perhaps the first java shop name sans any coffee wordplay) is in Myrtle Beach, S.C. That's about as far away from Seattle as you can get (not counting Georgia and Florida). This is significant because two of the three things most commonly associated with Seattle over the past decade are rock 'n' roll and coffee (the third is, of course, is salty rain). You'd think KISS would've glommed onto the market in the Pacific Northwest, instead of the Atlantic Southeast.
What they have built has become more of a success than I anticipated. This place truly is the ultimate place for the KISS fans and coffee fans. From the fresh brewed coffee to the Frozen Rockuccino, the KISS Coffeehouse has something for everyone. There is a large collection of collectables for the die-hard KISS fan and for the casual KISS fan alike.
KISS Coffeehouse is a stimulating environment to drink a stimulating beverage. No curling up with a nice book or contemplating interpersonal relationships here! It's a place to celebrate life, have fun and experience the hottest band in the world. With smoking KISS boots over 20 feet tall at the storefront and some awesome KISS memorabilia on display, loyal KISS fans will not be disappointed. KISS Coffeehouse will also serve as an official KISS Army recruiting office, exposing new fans to the band and getting them on board. I now understand what was meant when the owners said that coffee with attitude didn't exist in the marketplace until KISS Coffeehouse exploded onto the scene in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Besides hot beverages they also carry some of the most sinful sweets, coolest gear and greatest specialty coffees like Room Service, Demon Dark Roast and Pyro Pistachio. Whether you want it HOT, COOL, BAKED or SINFUL, you're covered at KISS Coffeehouse. Even if you're not a fan of Kiss' music this is a place that you have to stop in and see. Trust me...it is well worth the visit!
