The Little Black Book of Coffee

The Little Black Book of Coffee

Author: Karen Berman

This book is another subject matter explained in the Little Black Book Series brought to us by Peter Pauper Press. The design of the book is very user friendly (and cute) with its spiral binding and built in elastic clasp. It\'s small but it lays flat. A wonderfully useful pocket reference on coffee and is a very handy to have around. It is very well organized and easy to use, not to mention jammed full of wonderful coffee ideas and treats to enjoy with them.

I was really impressed with this particular little black book. It wasn\'t just a cookbook for coffee. Rather, it emphasizes the elegance of different recipes and ingredients. The book covers the essentials to your favorite perk-me-up. The sections are broken down into these categories: Hot Coffee Drinks, Cold Coffee Drinks, Spirited Coffee Drinks, Treats made with Coffee, and Treats to Eat with Coffee. The recipes for the drinks and treats I have tried so far have been very good, and have been helpful with entertaining my small book club. Also inside are tidbits of knowledge such as a short history of coffee, along with associated geography, growing, tasting, processing, and roasting.

Fabulous little book!!! I bought it as a gift for a friend and almost kept it for myself. Cute cover: black book (of course) with circular gold label that says the title.

This book was a fun read with lots of recipes. It was a unique little extra we discussed at my book club. I recommend.
