Ad Sizes
Spilling the Beans utilizes two web ad standard sizes for promotion: full banner 468x60 pixels, and square button 125x125 pixels. The full banner ads receive top page placement on all pages (excluding home page) and the square button ads are placed in the right column of all pages.
Refund Policy
Ads canceled after the contract has been signed, but prior to insertion, will be charged at 50% of the cost space reserved. Ads canceled after insertion will be charged at 100% of space reserved.
Terms & Conditions
1) Once an advertisement is placed on the web site, no changes shall be made for the remainder of the contract time, unless a fundamental error has been made, which requires correction.
2) Advertising on Spilling the Beans Chicago is on a first-come first-served basis. To give all interested parties a fair chance, automatic renewals are not to be expected. If your advertisement is currently being featured, you may not reapply for an additional contract until 3 weeks before your current contract ends. If you are not currently being featured, you may submit your contract as soon as desired, but no later than 3 weeks before your contract time is to begin.
3) You will receive a notice confirming your advertising contract acceptance informing of scheduled feature months, or you will receive a notice (either by mail, phone or fax), requesting an alternate contract time, depending upon space availability. An invoice for the cost of the advertising must be paid in full to Spilling the Beans Chicago within one week of receiving your confirmation notice, or your reservation will be cancelled for that contract period.
Ad Ethics
Our web advertising encompasses a range of companies and industries. We do not incorporate advertisements, including flashing banners, that distract the user or that include misleading advertisement images (ie, designed to look like a computer system error). Although Spilling the Beans Chicago uses online advertising for revenue, we are attentive to filter our clients, and frequently monitor what advertisements our website links to. This eliminates advertisements that lead to malicious software or adult material. Spilling the Beans Chicago has an experienced sales team that deal directly with companies for ad placement, meaning that linked advertisements are legitimate and appropriate.
